Uridinphosphat: U|ri|din|phos|phat, U|ri|din|phos|phor|säu|re[es|ter]: Sammelbez. für die Ribonukleotide Uridin-5′mono-, -di- u. -triphosphat (UMP, UDP, UTP), von denen das – früher Uridylsäure genannte – Erstere ein Bestandteil der RNA (nicht aber der DNA) ist. UTP fungiert als Baustein für die Biosynthese der Cytidin- u. Thymidinphosphate, u. UDP übernimmt bei der Biosynthese von Oligo- u. Polysacchariden eine Transportfunktion durch zeitweilige Anbindung eines Glucose-Moleküls (Uridindiphosphat-Glucose, UDPG, ein sog. Zuckernukleotid).
